ABOUT THE CUSTOMER:
Victoria Riverside is the latest development from JM Construction. Located close to Leeds city centre and the train station, Victoria Riverside is a sympathetic conversion of the former Hunslet and Victoria flax spinning mills which have laid derelict for over 40 years.
On completion, the scheme will extend to approximately 350 superbly specified apartments comprising a mix of one, two and three bedroom units to include spectacular roof top penthouses providing
panoramic views of the ever changing Leeds skyline.
The site enjoys an excellent location adjacent to the River Aire and offers easy access to Leeds and the wider motorway network.
WHAT UK CURTAIN WALLING DID:
For this project, UK Curtain Walling was asked to supply, fix and glaze Senior Aluminium curtain walling to levels 5 & 6 incorporating Senior Aluminium PURe sliding doors and tilt & turn windows. In addition, our team were asked to supply, fix and glaze Senior Aluminium curtain wall screen from the ground floor to level 6 to staircase area incorporating top hung open out sashes and bottom hung open out smoke vents. The project also required commercial doors being installed to the ground floor level.
The Victoria Riverside project began in 2018 and after almost 4 years, will be coming to an end in 2022. During this time, UK Curtain Walling have continued to add expertise to this project and have been asked to complete further work.
THE RESULT:
The outcome of this project has been visually stunning and is a credit to the work of UK Curtain Walling. Victoria Riverside is a fantastic representation of how our experience can add value to a large scale, commercial renovation project in Leeds.
From inception to completion of each phase, UK Curtain Walling have continued to build a strong relationship with other contractors and the client. Additional requirements have seen our team install glass partitions and balustrades, which showcases how agile our client offering can be.
